Pierre Johnson is set to feature on LaTique’s upcoming EP, “Ebeneezer”. Johnson features on the track “VX23”. Speaking on the process, Johnson reveals the collaboration began as a response to LaTique sharing his work on social media:

“I’m up at like 2am in the morning browsing my phone, LaTique puts up a WhatsApp status of a sick drum loop and bass-line he just recorded… The next morning I jumped straight into it starting with this soothing Rhodes Piano, fattened up the bass and then tracked my “oh so favourite” marimba to accommodate the Rhodes and counter react with that sick bass LaTique wrote so we could finish the track on a high note”

Johnson and LaTique have previously worked together on the track “Money & Power.“

“I love getting together with LaTique”, says Johnson. “He’s got some amazing projects coming out this year and I’m honoured to be a part of his journey.”

“VX23” will be released as a part of “Ebeneezer” on March 13th.
