Last week saw the release of the incredible “Back to Front” from Bantwanas. Following this, Bantwanas frontman Blanka Mazimela sat down with Playground UK to chat about the new EP.

Blanka’s interview sees him chat about his origins on the South African music scene, especially his mentorship by collaborator and fellow Bantwana’s frontman Ryan Murgatroyd. Mazimela touches on some of his major influences and reveals how they have come to shape his music production. 

On “Bantwanas”, Mazimela speaks about the influence of Africa on the group’s music as well as on the process that unfolded behind the scenes of “Back to Front” between Bantwanas and their collaborators.
