All the way from Durban, South Africa; comes a dynamic Electronic music duo, formed early 2016 and consists of Kunzima Theology (Joshua Sokweba) and Samurai Yasusa (Mncedi Tshicila).

During 2016, the duo worked on their first EP, “Kusuka Sukela”, which went on to be released mid 2017 by United Kingdom label DM Recordings.

Early 2017, they picked up a remix opportunity for the single “Traveller” by Durban based vocalist, Lizwi, and producer DeMajor. This went to be the biggest song on their catalog for 2017, with over 50 DJ Charting on Traxsource ; #53 of Traxsource Top 200 Best Selling Afro House of 2017 ; a nomination on an online-based award, Dance Music Awards South Africa, for Best Remix of the Year – 2017 ; was featured on Black Coffee’s Ibiza 17 Appreciation Mix and in 2018 featured on Defected Records Ibiza 2018 Compilation mixed by Sam Divine.

In 2018, Kususa saw themself being featured on the Sónar festival Compilation mixed by Black Coffee with their remix for De Cave Man & Tonic Volts feat. Toshi – Mabudede, following that they did a two African country (Botswana & Kenya) mini tour. Amongst the mist, Kususa had new releases featured on various publication and online music store’s playlist with a remix of Cape Town base group Original Swimming Party and sensational vocalist Moonchild Sanelly topping multiple charts. They than did a remix for Rull Bull Music Academy 2018 participant, Cornelius SA, featuring songbird Jackie Queen – Feel It Now, which went to cement that Kususa signature.

Kususa also has releases on these labels : Seres Produçoes (Angola), Iklwa Bros Music (South Africa), Check In Recordings (France), Surreal Sounds Music (South Africa), BAE Electronica (South Africa), Soulistic Music (South Africa) and Moblack Records (Italy). Kususa went on to be positioned #37 of Traxsource Top 100 Afro House Artist of 2017, debuting the list that year.
