Floyd Lavine Returns Home to Create from the Heart

There’s something powerful about returning to where it all began, not just physically, but emotionally, creatively, and spiritually.
For Floyd Lavine, a recent three-month trip back to South Africa was more than a homecoming. It became a space for reflection, reconnection, and creating from a place of truth. Beyond the joy of reuniting with friends and family, Floyd spent time in the studio alongside longtime collaborators Rueben and Dom Benigno, two artists he’s shared a deep creative bond with for over a decade.
Their studio sessions became a sanctuary for honest conversation. They spoke about life’s highs and lows, the weight of recent years, and how easily time slips away if we’re not fully present. These moments of vulnerability and connection became the foundation for a new body of work that Floyd describes as “something beautiful.”
“Rueben’s vocal on this project is pure magic,” Floyd shares. “There’s an intimacy to it that only comes from shared history and trust.”
As anticipation builds, fans can expect a release that feels personal, resonant, and reflective of Floyd’s journey, not just musically, but personally.
Stay tuned for more as Floyd Lavine prepares to share the next chapter of his sound.
